Here is what I am hearing folks:

Gatsalov and Mahov got sick with the flu and will not wrestle. Their replacements will be Muradov and Ahmedov respectively.

USA will be in the same group as Turkey and Russia. The other group will have Uzbekistan, Cuba, and Ukraine. So USA and Russia meeting is inevitable.

Russia will first wrestle Turkey. Russian lineup against Turkey will be as follows:

Mihailov, Dudaev, Batirov, Tsargush, Saitiev, Saidov, Gagloev.

Don't know why they are holding the top horses out but it seems to me this is not a very strong lineup at all relatively speaking. Anyway, I hope they know what they are doing.

PS Russian coaches are somewhat confused and intrigued with the American team. They simply don't recognize most of the names with respect to last year's World team and they can't figure out whether this is America's secret team or what.

Now they are reporting some changes. USA is in the same group with Ukraine and Russia. Turkey is with Cuba and Uzbekistan.

Russia will wrestle USA first.

Man, I think USA can win at 55, 66, 74, 96 and HWT. What an upset it can be. Maybe Lawal vs Adam Saitiev? Askren vs Tsargush? Good stuff!

Well well, looks like Askren is not ready for big time yet. Mocco won both matches but I heard it was close though. Great job anyway.

Mihailov said the match with Abas was very tough for him. Tsargush said he didn't feel threatened by Askren and that he controlled the match well.

RUS (Kudukhov, Dudaev, Farniev) won the first 3 matches vs UKR.

RUS (B. Saitiev) won the 4th match and reached the finals.

Tomorrow:
for the 1st place RUS - CUB
for the 3rd place UKR - UZB
for the 5th place USA - TUR

RUS will obviously win the dual vs UKR without losing a match.
