Following this press release the Olympic and National team coach Dzambolat Tedeyev stated that this is just one evaluation stage of many. The athletes will need to demonstrate the skills that they are known for and they will account for their performances against their world competitors. Simply by winning the Nationals one is not stated to the Olympic team. All of the eligable athletes are being ranked, evaluated and marked according to their performances at these tournaments and their training camp showings as well..

Pretty interesting stuff... also, you will notice at 60 kilograms, one athlete only, both Batirov's remain absent from competition barring an apology from the Russian Wrestling Federation... I bet if Dudayev loses we will see an anouncement released hahaha...

Is Uzbekistan not sending a 74kg wrestler? Soslan Tigiev was first at the world cup last year at 74kg.

This link says that UZB is sending 2 wrestlers at 74 kg: Artem Pristajnyuk & Soslan Tigiev.

It also has Abas at 55kg for the USA and more listed wrestlers for the Ukraine.

One of the matches I am really looking forward to is Andrey Stadnik and Geandry Garzon, I don't know if you guys have ever watched stadnik but when he puts the pressure on, he almost scores at will, but he seems like a head case
