The shoes John Smith wore were made by Brute, back when it was owned by Dupont. There were a few different colors, notably the red white and blue ones....which he wears in a lot of vids on youtube. There was a pair of plain red and white ones....and there were the black and purple ones which Colman Scott wore last year at the NCAA tourney.

The Black Widows were made for a few years by Clif Keen. They were, as far as I know, the only pair Keen ever made or endorsed. They were black with Lime and Blue accents. I'm pretty sure they were made around 1993 give or take a few years.

I Know this because that year I was at the Wolverine wrestling camp where they were selling a lot of Cliff Keen stuff, knee pads, etc. One of the people that was in my group actually complained to Dale Barr about the selection of shoes they sold at the camp. I don't think I will ever forget the look Barr had on his face or the look the kid had on his face when Barr, during one of the times he addressed all the campers, related the complaint to the whole camp.
