    what about Alireza Dabir?

I don't know about best ever.... but I sure do like Dabir as one of the head inside contenders. I also like S Belaglosov and his snatch single as a contender.

Smith...... I look at him as more of a technical finisher. He'd just throw technique out there.... HC, LS, duck, and so on, and just work the position until he won..... versus get it and finish. If I were to rank his go to moves it would be his HC, and whizzer counter.... at the higher levels.
I am 49, bald, ugly, and don't own a single cool thing. Kids like me though.

90% of all wrestlers are right lead and will attack their opponent's left leg for a head inside attack and right leg for a head outside attack. So from a defense standpoint, many wrestlers grow comfortable defending these positions. They are not as comfortable, however, when their lead leg (right) is attacked with an inside shot or their left leg is attacked on the outside. On the flip side lefties are used to their lead leg being attacked on the inside and their right attacked on the outside and thus better at defending.

Also when a lefty controls a two on one or grabs the near wrist he is ultimately controlling his opponent's attack hand. This is very annoying and uncomfortable. When a righty does the same he is still leaving his opponent's attack hand free and thus the holds are not nearly as effective.
I see what you' re saying.
Summarized in once sentence you are saying that the majority finds it awkward and different to wrestle against the lefties.
Same with boxing same with any other sports.
But to come back to the point, it does not matter with leg is in front. For instance we learn to attack on both legs and our stance is sometimes on 1 horizontal line.

I find it easier when my opponent is a left legged wrestler as I use my front leg often to sweep or block his left leg.

I think a good wrestler has to have the ability to wrestle both.

First and foremost lefties have an advantage because their opponent's lead leg is right there. Then for the other reasons I mentioned.

I agree 100%, since I started watching the international matches put up on youtube I have noticed how many wrestlers do their moves to both sides, infact i see alot of right lead wrestlers who almost prefer the left side high crotch, but what I think it comes down to is that they train each side equally as hard so when the time comes and they get what they get then the chances are just as good to finish instead of just being able to shoot a single on the left leg. Sometimes it works to be a little crafty and mix things up.

    You are right.

I saw a ukrainian training school where they trained 3 times a day.
The had to learn to to leftlegged knee pound shots and right legged kneepound shots the same for non kneepounds and circling behind the opponent.
It makes one very limited if you focus on only one leg.

The wrestlers also said: well im right legged and prefer right legged attacks, but what if my opponent is all defensive, other scenario's should be possible ass well then.

Again murtazaliev is a perfect example for it.

he even shoots a double leg attack with his head on the left side and left knee pound, looks really strange, but quick..
