Default 2012 London Olympic Games: 60/84/120 Greco Discussion

    Brackets are out for tomorrow.

Aliyev is up top. Coleman down on the bottom with a second round match up possibility against Noroozi

Khugaev and Marinov are up top. Gaber (hey you never know), Akhlaghi, Shorey Hernandez, and Avluca are on the bottom. Betts is on the bottom as well. If he wins he'll see the winner of Shorey Hernandez and Akhlaghi

Top half here is an absolute bloodbath. Lopez, Byers, and Kayaalp are all there. Byers and Kayaalp will see each other in the quarters with the winner wrestling Lopez in the semi's. Baroev and Babajanzadeh are on the bottom and will see each other early. I guess you have to favor the winner there to come out of the bottom.

the bottom quarter of 60 kg is sick. 4 of the 7 guys finished in the top 5 at last years worlds including 1st iran, 2nd kaz and bronze bul, who faces coleman.

Has there ever been any serious discussion about seeding the big international tournaments?

There are some brutal first round matchups in every weight. At 84 we have Selimov/Khugaev with winner vs. Marinov. At 120 Baroev, Patrikeev and Iran all bunched together. Then again, there are no easy matchups. I count 9 world/olympic medallists (4 champs) at 84.

Betts 5's the micronesian, wins first match.

Coleman goes down to Angelov, flying squirrels to his own back at the end.

Now hoping for a rematch of the crazy Kazaksthan/Iran fianl which could happen in the quarterfinals.

Lots of flying squirrels these days. What is the result for Noroozi?

Top half of 120kg is loaded to the max. There should be some sort of split of World Champions/seeding/something..Total garbage the best of the best will not all medal assinine how they handle the brackets.
