Given the unpredictability of Greco, I'm kind of shocked that (arguably) the 4 favorites are wrestling for gold. Should be two awesome matches!

Sourian wins it to finally get his Olympic Gold. Wins 2-0/1-0 with a gut for two in the tiebreaker in the first period and then a takedown in the second.
Well deserved for a guy who has clearly been the best at this weight in the world for a good long while.
I wasn't really paying attention but Vlasov just won in two periods in the finals at 74 to close things out for today.
Sourian finally gets his olympic gold. Well deserved. Sound like the place erupted when he won. Amazing.
They had the medal matches on TV. Vlasoev scored a hand-to-hand gut in the first and defended in the second. A bit disappointed in the final, I know a lot of guys don't score on the feet in greco but Vlasoev was really obvious about it. Enjoyed Sourian's win more, well deserved as others are saying. The Lithuanian who beat Madson has his eye really gashed up, looked like he couldn't even see but gutted it out for a bronze. As mentioned in the other thread, the officiating in the other bronze medal match was really bad.Quote:
