Because Ossetia is in Russia. Ossetian, dagestan, whatever! You are still russian no matter what part of russia your from.

They usually take the winners of the Yarygin tournament to the Euros. Mavlet Batirov did not compete at Yarygin and while Murtazaliev won he decided not to compete, most likely due to injury, and thus Farniev was the Russian entry at Euros.
