One's folkstyle style can definitely have a huge impact on how easily they make the transition to freestyle.

Logan Stieber wrestles pretty much the exact same style in freestyle as he does in folkstyle. This is because everything he does from neutral is extremely fundamental. But a guy like Taylor... I think it changes the whole mentality in neutral. In folk he knows he can rely on his unmatched mat savvy, but in freestyle he seems to have a curtain of tentativity (don't think that's a word) hanging in the back of his mind that he can be knocked to his back for a quick two off exposure. It looks like getting comfortable in freestyle will be harder than I thought for him, but he's a dedicated enough guy that I'm sure he'll get comfortable when he puts his mind to it.

Yea the older ones. No younger guys or first timers getting very far outside of Logan.

    It is now....

Like I said earlier somewhere on the board, give DT a few years after he graduates (2014) to get ready for Rio & I think you will see a different outcome!
