hi there, does anyone know what our big friend makhach murtazaliev is doing currently? A friend of mine went to the saitiev trainingschool. His trainingregimen was as following: training starts half an hour consisting of a warming up-ball game 10 minutes streching 8 different matches against different opponents of different weightclasses little bit of streching and relaxing slow pace technique training Perhaps Akzent could enlighten a bit more? |

I haven't heard about him for the last 2 months. He was injured. I believe he will appear at the Yarygin tourney next week, Jan 23-25. In the same weight 74, Farniev was expected to wrestle but he was said to have been injured when training this morning. Also other top wrestlers are moving to upper weight classes: Kudukhov to 60, Ketoev to 96. Unfortunately, there will be no match Ketoev vs. Gatsalov. Due to a recent knee surgery, Gatsalov will not participate. Last edited by akzent; 01-16-2009 at 08:09 AM. |

hi Akzent, Thanks for the info, especially such recent info. What do you think about Ketoev moving up to 96? he used to cut a lot of weight. who is going to be the prime in 84 for russia since sajidov and satiev arent competing that much in 84??? |

At the present moment, the top 84-kg wrestlers from the 4 main wrestling areas seem to be: Ossetia - Soslan Kcoev (or Ktsoev) Chechenia - Albert Saritov Dagestan - Hajimurad Nurmagomedov Kabardin/Cherkess - Anzor Urishev |

![]() | I think this is a great move for him to make. Mainly because he got his ass kicked at the Olympics for cutting weight and losing like 50% of his conditioning. He looked horrible at Beijing. Hopefully he'll be alot better at 96 which he should. I can't wait till nationals this year. Ketoev vs. Gatsalov would be a great match.

Did something happen to Muradov or is he just being forgotten at 96? He beat Gatsalov handily 2x before winning the olympics, he's gotta be at least even money against Gatsalov and Ketoev if he's healthy.
