Default Pytlasinski GR Tourney, Poland, Aug 5-6

    Many Turks.
GEO, BLR, UKR, RUS x 1-2-3 wrestlers in each weight.
    Few Americans and Iranians.

    Day 1 brackets
    55 kg
    66 kg
    84 kg
    120 kg

    66 - Vachadze, Tskhadaia, Lashkhi
84 - Mishin and his home rival Khugaev, Nematpour, 2011 euro champ Rachyba, Kvirkvelia, Alim Selimov.
Khugaev and Nematpour will meet each other, if they win their matches in the 1st round. It will be a rematch of their bout at the World Cup earlier this year. In the 1st round Nematpiur will face the new Ukrainian star Shishman who is young but already has experience in beating Iranians. In the finals of the 2010 military worlds, he beat somebody of Iran. A month ago, he won the Azovmash tourney in Ukraine.

he beat Moslem Ranjbar in 2010 military worlds final
this is the last chance for Nematpour, he beat this guy Shishman after 3 periods (0-3, 2-0, 1-0)

once again, nematpour lost to khugaev.
khugaev meets mishin in the final, rematch of the russian nationals final.

in the wb, nematpour lost to the same unknown blr guy who earlier beat kvirkvelia.

so Nematpour is 100% out ! what happened to him ??? Akhlaghi will wrestle in WCh.

in 120kg, Babajanzadeh beat Byers in semifinal. this boy was a very bad wrestler years ago but he amazingly progressed in past few months. but still I think Kayalp or Lopez are unbeatable for him and any other wrestler in the world

in 96kg, Ghasem Rezaei was supposed to wrestle here after that doping story but he won't due to VISA !! coach Banna isn't here too for the same reason !

I think it's almost clear now, Iran's Greco team :

    55: Sourian
    60: Norouzi
    66: Abdevali
    74: Alizadeh
    84: Akhlaghi
    96: Rezaei
    120: Babajanzadeh

120 babajanzadeh-byers semifinal was an extremely boring match, no technical points.

in the other part of the brackets, ismail g?zel (tur) won. upset! he beat the other iranian (with the unpronounceable name) 1:0, 4:1. this iranian has pinned him twice this year! at the emre in turkey and at yadegar in iran. (then the turk beat chugoshvili of belarus, whereas the unpronounceable lost 1:3, 0:4 to croatia in the wrestling backs).

    It's on the Polish site:
    http://www.zapasy.org.pl

Will anyone of the Iranians here translate what happened in the 84 match Nematpour v Khugaev?
    http://iawf.ir/Content/Content.aspx?...PageCode=26292
The tv camera showed only a few seconds from the 1 period, while both in parterre, Khugaev - gut wrench for 2, Nematpour - reversal for 1.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Kvirkvelia, but I do know he is a dynamic reverse lifter with mediocre gut wrench defense. The "reverse lift" era rules played right into his strengths, the current ones not so much.

Khugaev beat Mishine- I assume that will give him the national team spot? Mishin is a great wrestler but he hasn't won a world title for a while now.
