This is very interesting jimbo and Azkent. Some USA athletes have taken notice to what has happened. Hopefully Iran takes the appropriate measures to field a strong team in Istanbul.

Probably the Russians are cheating because that's what they resort to when they can't win on skill.

I don't know how Iranian GR (not FS!) wrestlers train and what kind of chemical materials they take but for the last 2 years they have apparently become bigger and bigger, stronger and stronger. Last year, after having lost to Ghorbani at a tourney and to Aliakbari at the worlds, Khushtov said in a personal talk they were inhuman strong and they easily outpowered him.

Look at Davud Akhbari, 2011 Asian champ at 84, 3rd at Baku. This shape is far away of being natural. I'm sure in his body, one could find at least half the elements of the periodic table.
Russians are just jealous because they can't beat the Iranian greco wrestlers.

Iranians are stronger than Russians people this is why Khushtov was suprised by his strength.

It is not right for you to accuse Davud Akhbari of drug use when he has not tested positive.

The russians are the last people to accuse anyone of illegal substances as well, iran has no money to pay the wrestlers let alone the money to pay for illegal subtances. I agree iranians are a stronger race, alanians themselves are iranians anyway, but places like ardabil are well known for the strongest men on earth, ridiculously strong iranian turks. They did the same thing with ali-hossein who was the next rezazadeh

Or...iranians cheated with steroids. Lots off international stars have been busted... Lebedev, Leipold, Dogan, Jadidi, KIss... Why not these guys?

gbdaz is talking about a weightlifter, we have many famous lifters from Ardebil but looks like wrestling isn't popular in that place at all ! I can't remember any famous wrestler from our turkish/Azeri states !
and yes Ghorbani bros are from Kermanshah, a kurdish province.

anyhow IAWF boss was in TV last night and he only blamed Russia for this ! they will send a protest to WADA and FILA. but for coach Banna it's the end. he is working on Ghasem Rezaei now. he is not a nobody, he is a world medalist.
