Default akzent, please answer this question once and for all for everyone

Are Russian wrestlers good at other sports besides wrestling or not? Do they play soccer and rugby well for example? Do they play basketball and run track-like distances very well as part of their training like sprints, 800 meter runs and so on?

I think they would be good in competitive eating of fruits. 3 years ago, I spent a few days with one of the wrestlers (of Russia, but wrestling for another country) who medaled in Baku. Each evening he ate such a kiwi-quantity which I would eat within 6 months. Notice, I like kiwi.

Now we know the real reason you root for Russia instead of America.

    Govern.

Edit--I withdraw that answer, since it's political.

Congratulations to the Russian woman for winning the Ekiden marathon road relay in Yokohama Japan, beating out Team USA who finished second.

    Arghhh.

You better ask Jean Diatta for answers!
I hope you recall him - the 2003 worlds in NY.

    >>A rangy wrestler from Senegal competing in the 74-kg. (163-pound) category, Diatta is the sports director at a hotel south of Dakar. He drew the Russian Bouvaisa Saytiev, a two-time world champion, in the first round. Diatta was overmatched but expected the match to end after Saytiev amassed a 10-point lead, which was enough to give him a technical fall. But Saytiev went ahead, pouring it on. Finally, the match ended, at 34-2. ''It's very rare,'' Diatta said without rancor, through an interpreter. ''Maybe my opponent was new. It was all up to him. Maybe it was fair for him, but it wasn't for me. He wanted to continue. I did not.''<<

I'm a great fan of Diatta for having not put too many questions on forums before facing his opponent.
