Here is what akzent posted on youtube thread:

An hour ago, XAC, a Chechen wrestling fan of Khasavyurt, posted a video (in 3 pts) showing a training in the Saitievs’ Wrestling School. It was establish and it is run by the Saitiev bros in their native town Khasavyurt in Dagestan.
Some of the Chechen wrestlers who can be seen in the video: Buvaisar & Adam Saitiev, the 55-kg guy Jamal Otarsultanov, Ramazan Irbaihanov (representing Turkey under the name Ramazan Şahin, 66 kg).

So yes, he seems to be Chechen.

Yes, he is Chechen from Daghestan, native of the town Hasavyurt that is the same town where Saitievs are native of. His former name is Ramzan Irbaihanov.

It was (the Ingush - an ethnic group close related to the Chechens) Adem Bereket of Turkey (former Adam Barahoev of Russia) who took him in Turkey earlier this year. His uncle Is-hak Irbaikanov also went to Turkey and became the head coach of the national team with a contract to prepare them for the 2008 games. He was one of Saitievs coaches.

I posted some photos of Irbaihanov, of him & the uncle/coach (in the garden), of Bereket etc from the 2007 euros on the Chechen forum:

When I talked with coach Irbaihanov at the euros in April he said that Ramzan is great and he will be a champ.

I knew this earlier Notice that I started the Irbaihanov thread almost 2 months before that talk - on March 4
