On Monday, 11 October 2010, the Romanian Wrestling Federation had its 80th Birthday, and*organised a big ceremony in Bucharest, with the Romanian Sports Ministry, the President of the*Romanian Olympic Committee as well as National Federations,*Natinonal Televisions and*different media. The Romanian Wrestling Federation was founded in 1930 and recorded many achievements since : great results at competitions and competition organisations and Members devoted to FILA. Its President is*Mr. Cristian Poteras, former International Referee and currently Mayor of the 6th disctrict of Bucharest.** During these 80 years, Romania wan*7 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 17 bronze medals at*Olympic Games, 15 gold medals, 29 silver medals and 37 bronze medals at World*Championships and*26 gold medals, 63 silver medals and 69 bronze medals at European Championships. FILA President participated in the ceremony with*Mr. Csaba Heged?s, FILA Bureau Member. Mr Martinetti awarded*all alive decorated Olympic wrestlers. In 2011, the Romanian Wrestling Federation will have the honour to host the Junior World Championship in three styles.
