As difficult as it is (for me anyway) to believe Worlds have come around and kind of snuck up on us as they get going here in basically eight days out in Russia.
I've got to put some thought into this so I'll leave mine blank for now but we're going to make use of this thread as a place to centralize predictions going in.

I reserve the right to switch around silver and bronze medallists based on brackets. I'm not really comfortable picking both Gatsalov and Kudukhov to NOT win, but Fedorishin and Gayzumov have been so close and lost in the clinch so often luck needs to turn in their favor eventually... right?

I want to see some Iranian wins. Anyone else, I don't care.
I like the Iranian at 74kg, he looked really good in the world cup. I am fan of Lashgari as well.

Some of the wreslers ranked above will not participate: fs96 Yazdani, gr66 Mansurov, gr84 Hasaia, gr96 Nozadze, possibly also gr74 Kvirkvelia;
not sure about fs84 Temrezov
At the Euros in April, Farid Mansurov got an injury from which he couldn't recover to the extent that would allow him to compete. Few months later he retired. He is the head coach of Azerbaijan now.
