Zadick would want no part of him.

LOL.... I suspect either guy will gladly wrestle whoever is in front of them to make the team.

    Freestyle
55: Cejudo did it again, and he did well in doing it grinding out the tough win over Simmons. Nice to see that Simmons hasn't lost his touch from a few years ago.

60: Gallick and Zadick are in my opinion for now the class of this weight for America. Who goes to Worlds is just going to be decided on who is wrestling better come the Trials.

66: I don't even know what to say here. This is going to be a wild, wild weight come trials time, Mr. Defending World Champion Bill Zadick is obviously the favorite, but he's been banged up, so really anything can happen. Kudos to Bono coming out and winning it again. I didn't think he had it in him.

74: Pretty much the same as 66, its going to be a zoo. I still like Pritzlaff come Trials, but Heskett and Cunningham showed that they are going to be very tough outs

84: I think Joe might have scored more points just here at this tournament than he has in like a year. I think the move up will do him well.

96: I was picking Mo, but Cormier did a nice job winning a tactical match. Mo is going to have to put points on the board if he wants to win. If it stays low scoring, I like Cormier's chances most times.

120: Well, well, well. Rowlands, and Konrad showed up and it looks like they want to be invited to the party. Rowlands was on fire all day. From just a fan's perspective, Cole knocking off Tolly and making the final was very encouraging with him being just a few weeks off of finishing folkstyle

    Greco
55: Haze still has it. Going to be a nice little showdown again at the Trials between him, Durlacher, and Mango

60: This is Joe Warren's weight, and I think its going to be his for a while. He looks like he's in great form, definitely a threat in my opinion to defend his title this year

66: Nice job by Garrison winning here, but this is obviously (at least in my opinion) Lester's weight

74: TC just keeps chuggin' along

84: Vering was great all day

    96: As was Ruiz

120: Davie did a nice job pulling the victory out here. Be interesting to see if Byers comes back and takes the spot at the Trials.

That is the style Brands has come up for him. In his mind he always wins the third.

60: Gallick and Zadick are in my opinion for now the class of this weight for America. Who goes to Worlds is just going to be decided on who is wrestling better come the Trials.

    Agreed.

I think Zadick.... unless he gets old all of a sudden.... owns this weight now. I could be wrong.

74: Pretty much the same as 66, its going to be a zoo. I still like Pritzlaff come Trials, but Heskett and Cunningham showed that they are going to be very tough outs

These guys are all over the place. I am hoping Askren can adapt to the style as I think he has the athleticsm and attitude to seperate himself.

    Agreed.

Tactics being he somehow knew how to win the tosses? ;-) These guys know each other too well. The coin tosses pick the winner.

120: Well, well, well. Rowlands, and Konrad showed up and it looks like they want to be invited to the party. Rowlands was on fire all day. Heavyweights is beginning to look like 74's. Best tournament makes the team.

I think 66 is Kolat's to lose. Kolat has to focus on training 100% if he wants it but he definitely has all the tools to take over 66.

    Greco is weird anymore.....

55: Haze still has it. Going to be a nice little showdown again at the Trials between him, Durlacher, and Mango

I don't think Mango is there yet. It is between Haze and Durlacher.

60: This is Joe Warren's weight, and I think its going to be his for a while. He looks like he's in great form, definitely a threat in my opinion to defend his title this year

    What you said.

66: Nice job by Garrison winning here, but this is obviously (at least in my opinion) Lester's weight

    What you said.

74: TC just keeps chuggin' along

New rules work for him in this nation. The rest of the world defends the forced par terre better so he struggles more there.

84: Vering was great all day

    96: As was Ruiz

    Their weights.

Byers gets Rulon to train with him and takes the trials.

I think Zadick will slip in the shower again to put it off for a while after he finds out that he has Bono in the finals.

Sounds like Bill Z has some issues and I wonder if he'll be able to get back at all this year. Probably depends on the status of the infection. Sometimes it can take awhile to get it under control.

Are wrestlers more prone to the resistant strains of staph infections and the like because of all their years of using anti-bacterial soaps?

    Default Where have I been?

Wow-had a very busy weekend and completely forgot that this was going on. Missed quite a lot-but Chicago boys TC and Joe Williams are REPRESENTIN. Lots of good matches that I would have loved to watch!
