Cejudo is great but "striking gold premature statements"?
I admire Cejudo and his improvements on the International scene. However, USA wrestling just sounds more silly every day with titles of the articles like this one:

Of course, none other than Sesker wrote the article.

Re: Cejudo is great but "striking gold premature statements"?
Sesker's job is to hype up USA Wrestling and its wrestlers. As a PR person, I can attest that he has to be a little hyperbolic. Don't blame Cejudo, and Sesker is just doing his job.

Not to mention that if Cejudo wasn't focused on winning it all, he shouldn't be allowed on the plane to worlds.

I'm with Trusty and blue, its not like it was a sensationalized or hyped up article, maybe the headline could be called that, but its an interview, can't say more than what Cejudo said. And as has been mentioned, if he isn't focused on winning, he shouldn't be there.
If Bill Zadick can come out of no where and win Worlds, then Cejudo definitely has a shot, especially obviously with these rules.

It was a really good article. I like this kid after reading it. He's seems like he has a good head on his shoulders. I'll be rooting for him to win the Gold in Baku.

Re: Cejudo is great but "striking gold premature statements"?
I would feel much better if the article title said: "Cejudo excited to compete in his first senior World championships". He doesn't need all this hype. He just needs to go out there and wrestle. Lets celebrate when he has the medal around his neck.

Once again, Sesker's job is to create the hype. "Excited to compete" doesn't do much. And I'll tell you something, as a Bears fan, I really wish that the Bears wouldn't have just been "excited to compete" in the Super Bowl. I wish they would have been looking to strike gold, because then they might have been Super Bowl champions.

Re: Cejudo is great but "striking gold premature statements"?
F*ck Big it doesn't say "Cejudo bodly predicts Gold" it says "focused on striking Gold," which he should be. I'm with ya on the whole USA rah rah shit but I think you're off base here.
When asked about Velikov and Kudukhov he didn't say "I'm gonna kill them next time, they got lucky" like some Iowa shithead, he gave a very rational answer.
Give it up on this one.
