Tbilisi, Oct 30, the 60th Palavnoba = the Georgian Chidaoba open class nationals was held.

28 wrestlers participated in the event which ended with a judo vs. sambo final:
Alexi Davitashvili (3rd at the European judo championships in 1994, 2000 and 2001 at +100 kg and in open) vs. Zviad Chinchaladze (2003 European champ and 2003, 2006 and 2007 world medalist at +100 kg in sambo).

Davitashvili won and became the Georgian absolute champ for the 8th time.

    Shota recorded some matches.

Considering the roughness of the land around there, I am not surprised that some rough and ready people come from there. Mountain stock people have always have high endurance and strength.

Murad Gaidarov - village of Mekhelta

Gaidarov actually lives in Khasavyurt (#36 on the map) in the lowlands. Mekhelta in the highlands where he is native of is #10.

In the neighbor municipality #7 is the village of Ansalta where Yusup Abdusalamov was born - the 2007 world and 2008 olympic bronze medalist.

#39 is the municipality of Tsumada (see the 1st page of this thread) where Savidov, Makhach Murtazaliev, Gitinovs, Sagid Murtazaliev... are native of.

The length of the strip 10-7-39 is less than 45 miles.
