Re: Guelph Open
Voronin beat Grant I believe. No Bhullar. Hopefully, he's landed by Nats and citizenship is fast-tracked. Nobody will touch Voronin in Canada right now anyways.

Hopefully he is landed by nats and his citizenship is fast tracked? Yeah I would hate to see a wrestler like Arjan who cawa has invested thousands of dollars in represent canada. We better make sure we can have some imported in time for nats to beat him.

Fast track it pronto or the status quo remains the same. No medals.

Re: Guelph Open
Is this guy really world-medallist good? Apparently already lost to Jarvis
at Brock Open and placed 6th (default?) at the Hargobind. Has he beaten Aarjan already?
http://www.wrestling.ca/news/article.php?id=1574 full results and brackets from Guelph. Some young guys who did well are Asselstine (3rd at 55) and wild man Alex Burk who racked up a ton of points and falls in finishing 4th at 84.
Ryan Weicker pinned Prickett in another significant matchup.

Re: Guelph Open
I heard that Voronin was 6 months post acl surgery at the hargobind. He likely hadn't been training at all.

Re: Guelph Open
He's got some decent wins:
Thompson
Ishenko-World Junior Champ
Karanadze-World Junior Silver medallist
I don't know what the hell happened against Jarvis. Jarvis is the king of upsets.

Re: Guelph Open
This guy is a world junior wrecking machine. We should also fast track the citizenship the random mexican guy who wrestled at the Canada Cup. He also lost to Jarvis. Hell, lets just set up a booth at the world championships and take applications to be on our senior national team.

Re: Guelph Open
Sarcasm instead of logic for debate. You've already lost.
Oh wait, you already stated that we invested in Bhullar. So what? Is there a permanent contract that I'm not aware of?
Thompson was a World Senior Bronze medallist, so you're shot at Junior Worlds is laughable. Then again, why take a shot at Junior Worlds? Pretty damn tough tourney from what I understand.

Nobody landed on this page from a search engine, yet!
