Don't call me sweetie. Ever.
In Germany, there are rumors again that Romero would try to make the German Olympic team.
I don't think he can get the German citizenship that easily.
After the German Grand Prix in June, he ?missed? the airplane back to Cuba. In the last several months, he was looking for a club in the German wrestling league. And he attended some matches of his younger brother, the boxer Yoan Pablo Hernandez. Hernandez ?missed? an airplane to Cuba too. That happened in April 2005 when he participated at an amateur boxing tourney in Germany. He ?forgot? to go home and in Germany, he changed to profi-boxing being now one of the good German boxers. But he is still a Cuban citizen. Older brother Romero followed his example 2 years later. Though he has lived in Germany only for 6 months, he seems to be determined to get the German citizenship as soon as possible and to appear on the international mat again.
No recent pics of Romero are available. Instead ? some boxing :) pics of brother Hernandez:

Romero joined a German wrestling club but he still doesn't have a license to wrestle there, so he attended the German nationals earlier this month only as a spectator.

I doubt he will be very good there. Luxury life will get to him. He is used to more basic conditions for training.
too bad he wont be in the olympics, id love to see him go at it with ketoev as he has beaten him before. Anyone know what kind of support he is geting from the German federation?
pinartist,
Many people have beaten Ketoev before. A Cuban wrestler can't train properly in a Western environment. Remember Jesus Wilson in America?
