Re: Sunkist Open: Freestyle Finals Match Ups
Jason, you sound like a sports announcer from the '50s. Not sure if that best describes what I mean, but oh well. You did very well.
Re: Sunkist Open: Freestyle Finals Match Ups
Looks like Mr. "11 for 12" was a paltry 2-4 in the finals.. Ouch ;)
Expect your new sig sometime tomorrow
Re: Sunkist Open: Freestyle Finals Match Ups
Where are the complete match results for this?

I did cringe when I read the word "horrid" ... so that makes me want to know what the exact problems were. These broadcasts aren't intended for people to pat themselves on the back for doing them, they're for the fans.
I'm looking into some options to explore to increase the quality, but there's still some time before the next webcast (at least one I'm involved with). Might take an event or two before all the bugs are worked out, but again, this is starting from scratch all over again.
Yeah, I'm not sure what was going on w/ the audio. Sounds like a lot of others had it. Just knowing the effort is there means a lot. I have a pretty good internet connection so it wouldn't seem like that would be the issue.

You mean, there were few cliches and sportscenter type of references? I've been announcing/broadcasting for a long time -- that's actually my first love when it comes to working. I still need to get better, I used to do games/matches 2-3 times a week ... now, it's not as frequent ... you get kinda rusty at times.
Always room for improvement. Zeke was great, as was Kendall Cross, on the broadcast.

Reader looked apathetic to me . Why Poeta didn't keep that arm bar /gut wrench is beyond me -probably surprised it was there . All he had to do was bridge across and 2 cheap points .
Re: Sunkist Open: Freestyle Finals Match Ups
I think Poeta is still getting his feet wet with regards to freestyle, I think he was more surprised that he ended up with the trapped arm than anything. He's a bit small and green but he is so damn tough on his feet that he can absolutely compete on the senior level. He so damn good at finishing his shots...
So Poeta wrestled for the Lehigh Valley Athletic Club, never heard of them before. Is he going to be an assistant there or going there to train? Seems like a weird matchup...
