I'm from Surrey, BC where the Hargobind tournament is. I trained with BMWC and I know a lot about them. Ask me anything you want!

Any results? Apparently Askren made the finals beating India's Kumar (2009 WC Bronze) in a wild 3 period match.

    http://www.leftcoastwrestling.com/ar...as-they-happen partial results

Good Canada vs US matchups: Pineda vs Hazewinkle at 55, Askren vs Gentry at 74, Travis Paulson vs Travis Cross at 84... really hope Cross pulls this one off!

Pineda beats Hazewinkel, Garcia wins beats Teyon Ware, Askren beats Gentry, Paulson beats an opponent who is apparently a Russian living in Guelph (according to OAWA forum)
Scott wins 60 kg, Hasserman wins 94 kg, Sigman beats Mocco at 120 kg.

challenge matches (from the same site, for big money)
60 kg vs. 66kg: Garcia defeated Scott in 2 periods.
74 kg vs. 84 kg: Paulson defeated Askren in 3 periods
96 vs. 120 kg: Sigman defeated Hasseman in 3 periods.

Really? The leftcoast site called him the "Canadian World Team member", assumed it was Cross but I guess not. Don't know who Tigiev is.

Do you know who the Canadian 96 kg finalist was?

Interesting to see Paulson & Hasseman up weights, pretty crazy to think that Travis just wrestled a weight FORTY pounds heavier than his identical twin brother wrestles.

    Hello all,

I am part of this tournaments media group. The organizors are putting out a dvd with all of the finals, along with interviews with wrestlers. I will post the info soon.

The Indian that Askren beat was not Kumar, it was a different guy.
The 96 canadian was Khetag Pliev.
