There was no 66kg final; Shahin withdrew.

Gatsalov - Ebrahimi 3:0, 2:0 in both periods from the "clinch"
In the 1st period, Gatsalov took leg and scored.

In the 2nd period, Ebrahimi took leg but couldnt take Gatsalov down. He and coach Mohammadi thought he has actually scored and they protested the no-call ( = Gatsalov's point). After video reviews the referees decided that there was no point for Ebrahimi and they gave Gatsalov a second point for the incorrect protest of Ebrahimi.

Gatsalov looks like he's got that old mental edge back that allowed him to win all the close ones. It really frustrates me when big studs like Gog and Shahin withdraw, unless of course they are actually hurt.

Its a shame for us that Shahin didn't wrestle, but probably not a bad call considering the worlds are so close. As for the debate between Saritov and Gadisov, it is nearly impossible to say for certain that Saritov would or would not win the worlds. Gadisov is young, slick, but relatively inexperienced internationally. Saritov is older, more experienced and has a style that has been proven (by Saytiev) to be difficult for people to handle. I'm excited to see how Gadisov performs when he needs to.

I'm sticking with it. Saritov will not win Worlds.

I would not be surprised if shahin withdrew for fear of loosing! Taghavi is moving up the ranks very quickly and won the asian games without a point being scored on him, i think he will be a world champion in the near future, but not this year (STADNIK)

Did Saritov beat Saitiev? If so, when?

x2 on Stadnik winning 66 this year... although Shahin (obviously), Garzon and Tushvilli are all more than capable as well.
