Mr. Jimbo, I landed in time to have 1. a walk downtown, 2. a couple of good Polish vodkas, 3. a look at the 96 kg brackets.

In the upper part - Gatsalov, Gogshelidze, Sheikhov
In his first match (1/8finals), Gogshelidze faces Clayton Foster.
Ebrahimi is in the bottom part and if he has luck to beat several Bulgarians there and Shabanbai of Kazakhstan, he will reach the final. He beat Shabanbai several times; maybe the latter will take his revenge now.

where is otarsultanov these days?? didnt he wrestle in the iranian league. I think the best bet for 84 kg spot for russia is saritov. I think he could acctualy win the whole thing. Keep us posted of the results when u get a chance, akzent. Photos would also be appreciated.

    Saritov over Gadisov?

Why? More experience maybe but Gadisov handled him I found at Nationals.

saritov has been around for a while, he has competed against the best and held his own against the likes of adam saitiev. I wouldnt say he got handled at nationals. I like saritov because he wrestles a lot like the saitievs.

On the other note, cant wait until the finals. Should be really interesting. Keep us posted akzent.

Iran won 1 Gold and 2 Silver in the first day !!! Dabbaghi and Ebrahimi lost to Russia (as usual) and Taghavi won the gold because Sahin didn't wrestle in the final !

I hope Akzent tell us more information

The score was much closer than the match really was. Gadisov had 3 beautiful takedowns Vs. Saritov's one push-out and no takedowns.

Gadisov will beat him next time as well. He's also still a Junior. It will get worse once he's a Senior.

Gadisov should rep. Russia at Worlds. Saritov will not win gold.
