    Default Best place too train full time freestle/greco wrestling abroad?

    I am a wrestler from the uk, haven't competed yet but looking too go abroad for awhile too train fulltime.

    I've seen camps in ukraine but they are very expensive. Just looking too live like a tramp in a hostel and train!!!!


    Any ideas?

    I think you should train in the UK then enter some competitions... (i'd suggest British novices) if you get good you can join the academy (national team) where they have a Ukranian coach and there are a few Ukranians, Iranians and other good wrestlers there. Some of those guys are paid to train full time...

    I am assuming you are a novice, in which case you should really develop your skill before you go to a foreign camp to train.

    Yes? two places - Russia, or Azerbejian

    I would be a bit leary about just trying to go to a foreign country and set up camp. It isnt like England or America there, especially if you have limited abilities. Azerbaijan shouldnt even be an option.

    Germany is extremely friendly and usually allows all to train with them. they have a lot of local clubs you could start at (i only trained Greco there-not sure about freestyle). After your skills are high, the best place i have ever trained abroad was St. Petersburg, Russia. Not sure how you get in (i am not sure how I even got in) but definitely the best training I have experienced abroad.
