i love how these guys are willing to try anything. it's a shame that our best guys couldn't do half (generous) of these moves on their best day against nobodies.

In fairness, there were a lot of awful matches at the Russian Nationals as well. Several of the semifinals and finals featured several clinches.

Damn, some of those moves are insane. I got to learn those, especially at 3:15.

Agreed pinartist. I think Russia is going through a rebuilding year; no Saitiev, no Batirov, no Dudaev, no Muradov, and I sure hope Otosultranov gets a chance to make the team. Also a couple of the big studs- Murta and Ketoev- lost before the finals. Compare to last year which had marquee finals at 60, 74 and 96 kg. Russia looks like they could be knocked off for the team title; other than Gatsalov I'm not sure any of them would be considered a favorite, maybe Makhov?

Whoever reps at 74 should be the favourite. Whether it's Murtazaliev, Tsargush or anyone else.

Makhov is the heavy favourite at heavyweight. Incredibly boring but he should win it.

I think makhov, gatcalov and kudukov have good chances of winning the whole thing. Im not sure about tsargush, and 84, 66 and 55 kilo guys seem weak compared to the rest of the team. I definetly wont be suprised if russia loses the team title this year.

Either Russian at 74 should certainly medal, but Chamasurlaev or Tigiev are my choices to win.
