No Dudaev or Batirov at 66 kg... I guess they moved up.

If Otusaltranov and Kudukov both wrestle at the worlds that will be a hell of an exciting championship to watch.

Otarsultanov and Batirov bros. didn't appear.
Otarsultanov was said to have an injury.
Like other Olympic champs, Mavlet Batirov didn't participate.
There are rumors Adam Batirov would wrestle at 66. We'll see today.

Dudaev will not participate today (66 kg).

Notable names? The Chechens didn't have luck yesterday. Saritov couldn't make weight at 60. In the same weight class, Chakaev who was one of the favpourites, showed poor form. He lost to Kudukhov 3:0, 5:0, 4:0. Then he lost to Vilmov 1:0, 0:4, 2:5.

The reporting is extremly poor. So is the internet in Kazan. Even now (15 hours after the first day competitions) there are no official results published on the site of the Russian wrestling federation or on any site with online news. Even the standings aren’t available. All results we have, have been posted on the main Russian wrestling forum via cellphones by fans attending the nationals.

Yes, 20 minutes. The last point given to Lebedev has been protested. Israpilov's coaches said Lebedev hadn't fixed. After several video reviews and some scandals the protest was rejected.
On the youtube video you can clearly see Israpilov's knees touching the mat at 1:55 (3rd period).

Thanks, I didn't know why Israpilov's coach was complaining for. Israpilov's knees are clearly on the mat when Lebedev gets his back.

The 55 kg Yakutian finalists at previous competitions:

Lebedev placed 13th at the 2008 nationals and 2nd at Yarygin 2009 (lost the final to Israpilov 1:0, 1:0).
At the same competitions Mikhailov placed 27th and 23rd respectively.

Lebedev won the 2006 jr worlds at 50 kg but was stripped of his gold medal and got banned for 2 years after failing a doping test.

A small cultural detail:

Lebedev is actually not an Yakutian, but an Evenk. Has anybody ever heard of the Evenks?! This is a small (about 35.000) ethnic group living in the Arctic areas; traditionally nomadic reindeer herders. They are very good in reindeer races. Now they have a champ also in wrestling.

Murtazaliev looked tired.

Gostiev (22) is an almost unknown wrestler. He was 2008 and 2009 champ of Ossetia. He placed 5th at Aliev tourney in May.

He is said to have easily beaten all his opponents today. Before facing Murtazaliev in the semis, he beat Tsoroev (Aliev 2009 champ) and Friev who are good wrestlers.
