John Smith just had the best style for FS. Keeping it simple: Ducks, singles, the low single. Mostly all he threw. Everything was just so slick.
"Wanting to win, that is common to all. But working to win, the drive to go the extra mile, to push yourself while no one's looking..that is the mark of a true champion."

http://www.fila-wrestling.com/webtv/..._poids='84' Haig vs Cuba at Pan Am's; not his proudest moment.

http://www.flowrestling.org/videos/c...-mark-mcknight McKnight vs TJ Hill, Brockport regional\

http://www.fila-wrestling.com/webtv/...s='55' Greco might be the only sport where mismatches are more fun than close bouts... Cuba vs Mexico at 55 kg

Saritov vs Shariifov, Yasar Dogu 84 kg. For those who like folkstyle wrestling for the scrambles, I reccomend period 3 of this bout.

He didn't compete long enough to be considered the greatest ever. I doubt his go go go style would have been as good as he aged. B. Saitiev is the greatest ever.

Hubbard you have right and I have same opinion... Maybe Smitch defend many different and suprising position but Saitiev wrestled for many years, and when he had 34yo he won olympics... IMO for Smith winning olympic at the age of 30+ was impossible ! BTW. Smith was greatest wrestler and I have respect for him and for his wrestling style
PS. Did Smitch ever wrestle whith Belgazov on international competition ?

smith beat belaglazov a year or two after bela retired in an "all star" match. i think the match is on this thread. if not, definately online.

smith had a quote that he could have made our olympic team through the 2004 olympics according to him, he would beat our rep in training goes. if true that would put him ahead of: 2004- kelly, silver; 2000- kolat, dnm; 1996- brands, gold.

Smith was born in 1965, in Atlanta 1996, he will have 31yo, this is the age when Saitiev won Olympic in Athens 2004... What do you think ? If Smith wrestle in Atlanta he will win this competion in 31yo like Saitiev in Athens ?
