Actually, it was only 2.2 pounds, but still, it's a problem.

Sounds more like a problem an African team would have.

Its hard to imagine that at a tournament of this importance that any weight difference would have slipped by. Hard to imagine

Just imagine being at the Olympic games being down to weight only to realize that you have 2.2 extra pounds to get down in a short amount of time. The stress would be very hard to deal with. Might have something to do with our poor performance so far.

2.2 pounds can't be that hard to cut for them their olympians I know I can cut pounds sitting around.

In fact my team members have said before that I just think my weight off :P

Here was an excerpt from USA Today. This whole thing kind of baffles me.

BEIJING — The U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers are dealing with some weighty issues.
After losing his first-round bout against Hungary's Peter Bacsi by a 1-5, 2-2, 0-3 score, TC Dantzler said he was slow reacting because he had to speed up cutting weight due to a faulty scale.
"Our scale was broke, so it threw everybody's weight cut off by about a day," Dantzler said. "The scale was off about two kilos, which is almost five pounds."
