    I was looking at the brackets for 84Kg and saw that Aleksei Mischines first oppenet will be Andrey Samokhin of Kazaksthan. That should probaly be a good match; two former Soviet Union countrys going up against each other. Brad Vering is also on the same bracket side as Aleksei. Also for the heavyweight class, it looks like Khashan Baroev and Mijail Lopez are both on different sides of the bracket, so the only chance of them meeting are in the finals. But Dremiel Byers is on the same side of the bracket as Mijail. I would love to see semifinal match between Dremiel and Mijail, that would be exciting.

    I'm trying to imagine how many 5-pts throws he will execute on you, if you say this in his presence.

    Is Georgia not a former Soviet Republic? Have their coaches not benefited from Soviet expertise and support?

    Not all Georgians hate Russia. Russian Greco head coach is Georgian, so is Mamiashvili.

    You obviously
    1. haven't read any quotes of Kvirkvelia's interview after the final;
    2. don't know that people in Georgia don't consider Mamiashvili as Georgian.

    I wouldn't be surprise if these are the only weights the Ruskies didn't medal in. can't think of many other sports that are dominated as much Free/Greco. Just imagine if they USSR hadn't split how many BA wrestlers would be riding the pine and not winning Olympic medals.

    I haven't watched Samurgasgev vs. Bacsi of Hungaria and I have no idea what happened but... some Russian sport media write the main reason why Samurgashev lost the match was the intervention of a FILA member from the USA who in the first period forced the referees to change their decision in favor of Bacsi.

    Then they write: Samurgashev got mad, couldn't concentrate in the 2nd period and lost it.

    Mamiashvili is Georgian. I can't care less what Kvirkvelia thinks. He might very well be a mental midget even though he is a superb wrestler. Samurgashev wasn't ready.
