Getting to 189
Well this season isn't over for me yet but I'm starting to make plans for next year. I'm going to the state tournament wrestling 215 this year, and next year I want to get to 189. I'm not that strong but I have good cardio and really good technique.
What is the best way to get to 189 for next season? I eat a lot so I'll cut down my caloric intake. Should I keep lifting? If not, are there specific exercises that I should do instead of my full lifting routine? Are protein shakes off limits or are they still acceptable (assuming I can still lift). What kind of cardio should I do to get the weight off?
