    Default choosing a weight class

    I have a grappeling tournament in 6 days. I was trying to make a weight of 160 and at the moment am sitting at around 166-167. The weigh in is going to be immediatly before the fight. Is it worth it to try to make this weight or should I fight at the heavier weight class and be confident that I will have energy and be hydrated?

    That would depend on how much higher the next weight class is and how easily you could lose the weight. Six pounds in six days isn't a lot if you haven't cut much weight to get where you are, but if the next weight class is only 170 or so, it may not be worth it. If you have to dehydrate to make 160, I'd advise against it.
