    Default Is it too late to wrestle for a junior in high school?

    I am 5'3-5'4ft tall, 15 years old and a sophomore going into my junior year. Ive recently taken an interest towards wrestling and i am thinking about trying out next year. The problem is that i have ZERO wrestling experience so i am getting the feeling that it may be too late for me but my friends tell me to try it because they say that i am pretty strong for my weight. I can bench 205lb and can squat and dead lift 325lb at a body weight of 150lb. Is it likely that i will be able to learn how wrestle and catch up to other wrestlers who have had years of experience?

    It's never too late. Wrestling will be one of the highlights of your life, no matter when you've wrestled or how well you've done.

    Go for it dude. I coached a guy who came out as a soph, by his 2nd year he was 4th in state(Next yr state champ) There are countless examples of this, and even if you arent successful you'll be stronger for having done it.
