I am a superintendent for a home building company and I hear this a lot. It is not true, at least as far as the trades and contracting is concerned. Americans have always done these jobs (and taken pride in it too). All the Mexicans did was lower the wages by undercutting the white contracters. They would give far less superior work but it was cheap and fast. White contracters just couldn't compete.

Who cares if it gets published? The process of putting your thoughts on paper and something you can call a book is a blessing in itself.

I think you will find that Russians have written about their American experience already.

Also one of my assistants, back in the day, was a Russian Jew, who would tell me about his experiences. They didn't exactly parallel yours. He now works with helping Russian/Jewish immigrants settle in the USA. I can't remember the name of the organization though.
