Default Cubs owner says he could sell naming rights to Wrigley Field

Bluestater and other Cubs fans, or any-self respecting baseball fan, should be up in arms.

Who is really running America, and what takes precedence?

Doublemint Field? Altoids? They could just change the name once a month to push their product listing.

    Altoids??

I can see it now: baseball fans will enter the field the same way they take the sacrament at mass. After entering the turnstiles, they'll pass before special club employees who will hold aloft a single Altoids to be taken by the tongue or in the hand.

I heard the other Day that the Yankees will not be selling the naming rights to their new stadium that opens up next year.

Their best brand is "Yankees", though. (apparel, etc)

good point but they could get more money by selling the naming right to the stadium and they don't really need the money. I just hate seeing all these organizations selling off the naming rights to their stadiums. Here in Phoenix we have University of Phoenix Stadium, Wells Fargo Arena, Chase Field, and Jobing.com Arena. It really gets old.

Maybe they could sell the naming rights to Wrigley!

I'm all for tradition, but how is Wrigley field different than Altoid park? One is gum, one is a delicious mint.

On the west coast, everyone was up in arms because they changed the name of PacBell Park to AT&T park. Both are hideous names, but everyone was so used to PacBell that they seemed to forget it was just a corporate name.
