    Default Hey Swiftboaters!

Just wondering if you're on board with story about McCain and his alleged ties to a lobbyist (not that he's accused of actually doing anything unethical, but it's the suggestion of wrongdoing that matters). http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/...ain/index.html

Should we expect a book to come out shortly in which the truth is revealed?

Too late, the book came out 20 years ago.
Boy ol' boy is that NYTimes one "special" newspaper. I soon expect it to be next to the check-out regularily. Sorry journalism.

The swiftboaters had a ton of evidence behind their claims. I guess if this accusation is evidence-based, then McCain will have to deal with it.

The Swift Boaters for Bush had nothing except a desire to have their candidate elected. What they also had were people like Flop who would believe anything out there as long as it furthered their candidate for president.

As for McBush, I really don't care about the story. What he has to learn though is to never say never and to quit trying to come off as a paragon of virtue.

If the NYT was really after him they would have waited until the end of October.

You know that Biblical parable about building your house on rock or sand? I think it applies to evidentiary matters too, and in that regard the Swiftboaters are definitely "on the beach".

I'm guessing they aren't done yet.

They backed him as the republican nominee only to try to sink him later. From what I have heard there is nothing to the story and the story itself never claims to have proof of a physical relationship but only boasts accusations that the relationship could be controversial due to her employer being a major lobbyist.
