The Willis family and many other Illinois people are probably relieved that former Governor George Ryan's appeal process has finally reached the point of not being able to keep him out of prison any longer. Former Governor Jim Thompson still plans to keep working on other appeals, but the law finally caught up with Ryan and he reported to a prison in Wisconsin today.
