Do you know of a program that IS ultimately solvent and "able to support itself?" This may come as a bit of a surprise, being that you're under the impression that we've only operated in the red since 2009, but none of our gubment programs "sustain themselves;" we've operated in the red since the inception of our gubment.

However, by successful I meant Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Yes, they are costly programs, but they have been wildly successful. You don't find many seniors who don't like the Medicare program, and when Social Security has cut elderly poverty rates in half since its inception, I'd call that "wildly successsful."

Good news for America is bad news for regressives, pure and simple.
