Actually, it's just the opposite! I'm stooping to HIS level, as he began the name calling and the insults. I've simply responded in kind.

This all started a month or so ago when he called me a prick, absolutely out of nowhere. I invite you to do a search for it to verify this.

Ban, have you ever noticed that every thread you decide to comment on turns into name calling, childish nicknames and 3yr old misspellings? That is not how mature people are supposed to act. It is you who does that. You simply suck the life out of every single thread you comment on.

ODH is an example of someone with pretty near the exact same ideas and views as you. The difference is that he (and Spider whenever he decides to debate)can relate their point of view in a mature manner. I often don't agree with their views, but I actually do read and take them into consideration because they are able to type them down and explain the reasons why they think that way. You either can't do it because you don't know how or you are simply a troll trying to pick fights.

As soon as I figure out how to do it, I am putting you on ignore. You offer nothing to a thread. I do hope that ODH, Spider and other more politically liberal-minded people continue to offer their views on subjects. It isn't really fun, thought-provoking or educational without both sides of an issue. It is also none of those things with your input.

Well, I advised several people to put Ban on ignore yet they wanted to post w/o being lambasted by him. i just got tired of his attacks on myself and friends . And every time he attacks I will counter attack .
In my experience bullies are a lot like balloons , you pop them hard once and they go away .

Not that my opinion means much, but I'd categorize Spider as more of a Libertarian than as a liberal. I don't think Spider is a fan of big bloated government programs, and that's become a liberal tenet.

I'm flattered to be a topic of discussion. I don't know how I would categorize myself and I am truly naive politically (which is why I haven't chimed in on this thread), but I do feel strongly about certain issues. I believe that religion should be a personal thing and kept completely out of government. I strongly support euthanasia and I support gay marriage and abortion, and I believe that most objections to these stem from religious beliefs. I am indeed against big bloated government programs unless they are closely monitored and efficiently provide the intended services (not likely). Unlike libertarians, I do believe that it is the government's job to protect its citizens even when they don't want to be protected (i.e. social security and medicare, some drug laws, licensing of professionals, etc.). As Quinn so kindly pointed out, I do respect opposing points of view (even though they're wrong), and am happy to discuss them in a civil manner. My discussions with people like Quinn and Ugly, with whom I often differ, are always enjoyable and thought provoking.

I would gladly debate you on any of those issues. I mostly disagree with you on them, but you mostly disagree with me on drug and alcohol laws. Most would think only liberals would want to legalize drugs and drop the drinking age to the age of swallowing, but that's what I think and I believe you disagree. (Not completely sure but I think you and I have debated that before.) The other stuff you are wrong about, I will gladly lead you to the right answer
