Since I believe that the Bible was written by men who probably believed that they were inspired by God, and is not the word of God, biblical references have little validity for me and don't change my way of thinking.

See there? In a round about way, you have solidified my point. Biblical references mean nothing to you, but they mean EVERYTHING to this problem. The Jews, Palestinians and the Muslims all believe deeply in their particular religion. An atheistic answer to a religious problem will not work here. It has zero chance of working. That's why I think we should stay out of it. We can't fathom how deep their convictions are. No since in pretending that "tolerance" is the answer. It only fans the flames because to them it seems that one side is giving up their convictions and the other side isn't.
