One thing to always remember is that our Democratic system was supposed to fail. It wasnt supposed to become the worlds greatest super power 170 years into its existence. So for all of its faults it has overcome the greatest odds to succeed.

Do not underestimate the fact that millions of Indians were slaughtered and the whole continent was cleared for American experiment. America has the luxury of three oceans to protect itself from invasions. Finally, America avoided the destruction of WWII. While other major powers such as Soviet Union and China faced devastation, America grew rich and strong. All those factors matter much more than American Democracy.

American Democracy did fail in 1929. It was resurrected from the dead through WWII.

Firstly the American democracy has never failed. If it had we would not be living under the same democracy.

Secondly every nation on the face of the planet has a history of bloodshed and that includes your beloved Russia first in line. So dont try to taint America because of the killing of indians and pretend it was not the way of the world in those days. It was called conquest Big and everyone did it.

Sure, it took 60 million deaths to resurrect American Democracy. When all the great people of other countries were dead and their resources depleted, America stepped in and took over the world.

Are you really going to blame America for WWII. America had nothing to do with the war starting and we entered to help you guys out and avenge the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

It wasnt the deaths in the war that made America a super power it was the industral revolution after the war that did. If I am not mistaken nobody was killed in the industrial revolution.

Also if I remember correctly Russia emerged as a Super Power after WWII so it would seem they benefited from 60 million deaths as well.

Soviet Union, not Russia. America had its share in causing the war since certain American businessmen helped build Nazi military. That is not the point however.

America was dead meat in 1930s. Dead meat. Military production put American people to work. Later America financed half of Europe's reconstruction as well as that of Japan. Soviet Union took decades to recover, all along freaken NATO restraining communism.

America was built on elimination of the whole race. No country including Russia ever experienced that. No country wiped out the whole population. No country was ever defended by 3 oceans.

America has enjoyed many advantages since WWII but no biggie. It will not be long until greed and exuberance will defeat such a successful system. I am not even hating here. I am just being a realist.

I am not upset at anything. I am just pointing out why America had it so good for a while.
