Default 50% of U.S. workers earn less than $27,000 annum

Fifty percent of U.S. workers earned less than $26,364 last year, reflecting a growing income gap between the nation's rich and poor, the government reported Thursday.

I don't know what to make of these trends . Record unemployment-no benefits-and this is -supposedly-for a family of 4 . the Wall street Occupiers are wanting a minimum wage of $40k per year ?

After taxes this family is hit .
the American Dream may be out of reach ?
You know, I think I would rather be a man than a god . We don't need anyone to believe in us. We just keep going anyhow. It's what we do.

I think the difference in what you two posted is that Payton's said "U.S. workers" and ODH's said "household income". When you add two incomes of a little over 20k, you will get to the median of 43k. It just depends on who is giving the data and how they want it to be percieved.
