People tend to think in absolutes when dealing with Darwin .It is a theory . The Aztecs had a working plumbing system and calender BEFORE Spain decided to annihilate them . the codecs were then destroyed by over zealous priests . The Vatican has an underground library filled with secret knowledge deemed heretical by the church yet too valuable to destroy . IF so valuable how can it be heretical ?
Archeologists HAVE destroyed as much as they have found as they often find things NOT in alliance with their belief structure . So when they find a human skeleton with wings they realize they will be called idiots or condemned for bringing such evidence to light . Thankfully Gallileo brought his findings to light .

Copernicus spent 1/2 his life o n house arrest by the Catholic church ! Reason enough to be protestant.

I don't know about that. Any school of thought that says all you have to do is BELIEVE & you'll be saved is missing out on a lot of activity one could do in good works. Martin Luther sort of over-simplified everything IMO. BUT I get your point. Catholic Church not exactly a good history of tolerance & upholding the facts.

These days new technology is held under house arrest by the media & it's advertisers.
