I wasn't trying to make or break KR's (or your) point. People should stand up and hold the government accountable if it moves in directions counter to their interests.
My point, albeit poorly made, is the sudden, over-the-top, Chicken Little type reaction over an ordinance that has, in large part, been around for years and is hardly in crisis mode.
It's wholly irrelevant to me if I agree or disagree with a position held by another group of people as I fully support intelligent and meaningful yet well-measured responses. Where I become amused and somewhat bristled is when I see what appears to be sudden disproportionate knee-jerk lugubrious reactions.
