Predict 2012 GOP Presidential Nominee
With this election over and done with, time to start thinking about what's going to go down in two years.
Thoughts on who the GOP puts up against Obama?

Re: Predict 2012 GOP Presidential Nominee
I personally like Eric Canter from Virginia, young smart and I believe can appeal to the nation.

For good comedy I hope Sarah Palin. She'll be fun to laugh at for a few months.

Palin will definitely run, though I doubt she gets the nomination.

Re: Predict 2012 GOP Presidential Nominee
If they want to put up a serious challenge they need someone from the center, which is getting more rare for the Republicans. Same problerm Dems had for years and still do to an extant. To win the primaries you have to win over the die-hards, which makes you less attractive for the general election.

Let me be the first to predict Hillary Clinton will be the Democrat nominee in 2012.

Who ARE the moderate Democrats still left in the party? Seriously. Many were defeated last night and the ones that werent were mostly strong liberals from very liberal districts. Considering the outcomes last night it seems to me that its the Democrats who need to look to the center... not the GOP.
It certainly wasnt the center that spoke last night.

Re: Predict 2012 GOP Presidential Nominee
Ken Buck, Joe Miller (maybe not the best example here since Murkowski will still caucus with the R's), Sharon Angle, and Christine O'Donnell would disagree with you. Had the Republicans looked towards the center in any of those races (Nevada and DE in particular) they'd likely be looking at a majority in both the House and the Senate right now.
