Default One step closer to Socialism leaning to Communism

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35977921...h_care_reform/

I cant say enough how much I disagree with the passing of this legislation and the way it has been done. We will never get control over our health back. I dont understand how people like to give up their freedoms and control of their lives to the government. i guess some people need a nanny to hold their hand and tell them when to wipe their ass. On a negative note the libs have found away to get their (another) pound of flesh from the rich. Everyone just quit working the government will take care of us all.

Only possibility is for the Dem's to lose control of both houses and the White House so the repubs can eliminate this travesty.

I did here a good argument the other day. If people have a right to health care and it is not expressed in the constitution, where is my government issued fire arm when I am assured the right to bear arms. Shouldn't someone have to pay for me to have a gun if it is a right for me to have one.

Ugly you are 100% right brother!!! Don't worry this is just the first battle of the fight. There is a lot more to come.

This bill isn't about health care reform it is about government control. don't get me wrong there are some good things in this bill but the majority of it is pure crap. Not to mention the fact that the government doesn't have the right to make anyone buy anything!!

If they actually wanted reform they would have taken their time to get it right instead of pushing towards getting it done before the election cycle begins.

I agree on all counts, this was a softening up for bigger controls to come. I know there are some good things in the bill but the bill as a whole was bad.

Until we have a Health Care bill that is not solely based upon the Insurance/Pharmaceutical/Medical Industries interests, we will never have a CHOICE nor will we ever be completely healthy.

When you go to the majority of MDs & then laugh @ the idea that nutrition plays a role in health & healing, you have a problem.

When the Pharmaceutical Boards & the FDA have a revolving door/country club atmosphere & agreement then little is done for the health of the citizens in this country & most of it is done EXCLUSIVELY for profit. That's a big problem as well.

When the system has built the cost in bringing health solutions to market so HIGH that it excludes very inexpensive & effective treatments, that is a crime.

When companies that promote non-drug solutions are prosecuted & persecuted before a FDA court with no chance of standing trial before a District court that is a de facto Corptacracy at work & we all lose.

When every school serves cheap low nutrition food, has several soda & candy machines, has a school psychiatrist on staff with the nurse & is rewarded for having kids labeled & on MEDS, then our children & their health are like cattle for sale thusly risking our future as a nation & a culture & we are just stupid to accept this as a solution when actually it is not.

When whether someone lives or dies becomes an issue of RATE OF RETURN then your life can be forfeit if the bureaucrat in charge of approving your treatment does not see it as cost effective. That is INSANE.

When Medicaid won't pay your bill because the doctor is not on their list or the doctor doesn't perform the STANDARD OF CARE, but is getting results, or won't prescribe meds but nutrition, then we have virtually lost our freedoms with regards to our health.

These are some of the REAL issues on "Health Care" reform. Not just the left/right issue but getting real CHOICES included, costs lowered & the final decision in one's own hands not someone in Washington.

Respectfully ignoring KR's veering off topic...
Ugly, I understand the logic of opposing having the government requiring people to buy health insurance coverage, but what do you do with people who refuse to buy it on their own.
    Do you deny them treatment?
Would you let them bleed out in the street and not allow them to be admitted unless they showed insurace or cash on hand?

BTW, I understand we are trending towards socialism (and have since the Great Depression) but I don't see this in any way resembling communism and I think calling socialist legislation communism detracts from the debate.
