The Governor here is just as bad. As of today, NJ will not be able to meet the state payroll in mid March, a full 3 months before the end of the fiscal year. State revenue is already $1,000,000,000 short of what was projected for the year. It expected that we'll be $2,000,000,000 short on June 30. The projected budget deficit for next year is already $10 Billion.
Yet our lame duck Corzine decides today give away another $44,000,000 over budget for wishy washy programs as he's walking out the door. That's on top of $100 million he gave away in December.
I can't wait to hear what these state employees have to say when they find out the paycheck is empty come April.
