    My grandmother's cousin, Irene Sharaff, was an award winning Hollywood costume designer and was the person who recommended to Yul Brynner that he shave his head.

    Blockbuster or Netflix or On-demand? Netflix, but I have to admit, it is my daughter's account and she orders for me.

    How often do you pack lunch for work? Only on those days when I am going.

    Take public transportation? Would if I could.

    How many lists do you make in a week? Five or six per day - necessary at work.

    Use CFLs (Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs)? we have started to replace our lights with them so yes

    What?s the most interesting thing you know about someone(living or dead) in your family? One of my relatives traced our geneology back to Marco Polo... my grandfather fought under General Patton in WWII... but he died when I was 5 and he refused to tell war stories...

    Take public transportation? Would if I could. Use the train to get downtown most of the time if I need to get there

    How many lists do you make in a week? Fortunately I have a good memory so zero

    I remembered this about my family:

    When Grandma and Grandpa were first married in 1927, for awhile she wrote down every financial transaction that occurred on their farm, in a book: for example, sold some eggs for x, bought some wire for x. There were no more than a few entries (if that) per week. This little piece of history tells me they were pretty much self sufficient (even if poor), in a way most of us can only imagine.
