Ryan Hall, a 1997 graduate of Poquoson High School, tests his knowledge on the quiz show "Jeopardy!" tonight.
Hall, 27, moved to State College, Pa., in 2005, but it's a Virginia education he will display. Hall earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond and his master's in physics from Virginia Commonwealth University.
He is currently a chemistry and physics high school teacher and said his students have been asking him about tonight's show since he taped it in Culver City, Calif., in January.
Locally, "Jeopardy!" is scheduled to air at 7:30 tonight on WVEC-TV 13.
He's the third person I went to HS with or formerly worked with to be on the show this year.
Two of my former co-workers at the Daily Press were on the show, one of which was on the copy desk with me in Sports for a few years.
If there's a college mascot question, I'm claiming all of that knowledge, because Ryan and I would go back and forth during our freshman year of HS trying to know them all.
It still serves me today.
