I usually have red squares under my name but now I see a green square. What does it mean?

Those squares represent reputation points. You can click on the little medal to the left of a post and express your approval or disapproval. Red squares indicate disapproval votes and green ones are approval, so up until now, your reputation points were in the negative, but now your approval rating is in the plus column. Congratulations!
